With more than two decades of experience, Dr Radha Rao is a trusted expert in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, providing compassionate and comprehensive care to women. Graduating from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore, where she not only earned her MBBS but also secured the third rank among all medical colleges affiliated with Bangalore University and the prestigious title of the best outgoing student, Dr Radha Rao showcased her commitment to excellence early in her academic journey. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, she furthered her education at Vani Vilas Hospital and Bowring & Lady Bowring and Curzon Hospitals in Bangalore, achieving her Master of Surgery (MS – Obstetrics & Gynaecology) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Driven by a passion for continual learning, she pursued higher specialist training in Nottinghamshire & South Yorkshire, UK, collaborating with global leaders in various aspects of women’s health and acquiring MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, London. She is also a dedicated teacher at MRCOG preparation courses and serves as the CME coordinator for the BRCOG Trust.

Her dedication to staying at the forefront of medical advancements is reflected in her certifications, including ALS (Advanced Life Support), NBLS (New-born Life Support), ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics), and MOET (Management of Obstetric Emergency and Trauma). Dr Radha Rao’s expertise extends to a range of conservative and operative techniques for menstrual disorders such as fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and PCOD. Her holistic approach covers pregnancy, delivery, infertility, adolescent health, menopause care, urogynaecology, cancer care, and foetal medicine. In addition to guiding numerous women through safe motherhood, Dr Radha Rao is skilled in performing advanced laparoscopic/hysteroscopic surgery(minimally invasive surgery), including procedures like Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, Laparoscopic Myomectomy, and Laparoscopic Ovarian and Fallopian Tube surgeries.

As a strong advocate of patient-centred care, Dr Radha Rao supports normal vaginal delivery, midwife (doula)-assisted delivery and personalized birth plans based on individual patient conditions. Emphasizing sustainability, she encourages the use of menstrual cups and reusable pads, aligning her medical practice with a holistic approach to patient well-being and environmental consciousness. For the past six years, Dr Radha Rao has been a dedicated presence at Apollo Cradle Hospital in Jayanagar, Bangalore. Beyond her clinical excellence, she has established Janani Clinic, an innovative women’s health clinic and diagnostic centre in JP Nagar, Bangalore, providing a comprehensive and streamlined solution for specialized care.
