Dr. Narendra Babu Is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon. He Had Received Training in Paediatric Surgery from One of the Oldest and Most Prestigious Institutions of the Country Viz. The Grant Medical College & Sir J J Group of Hospitals, Bombay. After Passing M.Ch. (Paediatric Surgery) He Worked as Assistant Professor of Paediatric Surgery in the Same Department for About 7 Months & Later Moved to Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health (Igich) Bangalore in the Year 2003. Later In the Year 2013 He Was Awarded a Short-Term International Fellowship in Paediatric Urology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Columbus, Ohio Usa.
He Has Nearly 22 Years of Experience in Paediatric Surgery and Conducted Many Complex & Challenging Reconstructive Urological Procedures Including Both Open & Mis Successfully. He Has Been Part of a Training Program for Postgraduate Students in the Branch of Paediatric Surgery & Also Been Involved in Organizing Many National & International Workshops & Training Courses in Paediatric Urology, Paediatric Surgery & Paediatric Minimally Invasive Surgery. Many Innovative Procedures Like Single Stage Reconstruction Challenging Anomalies Like Y Duplication Urethra, Severe Hypospadias & Sphincter Saving Surgery for Perineal Canal Have Been Performed with Good Results.
He Has More Than 25 Publications in Various National & International Journals & Has Been a Faculty at National & State Level Conferences & Operative Workshops. Presently Conducting 3 Research Projects at Igich.
