The exact reason behind the Post-menstrual syndrome (PMS) is still unknown. However, researchers are sure that there is no reliable relationship between the pregnancy and the PMS. You can be pregnancy and have no PMS symptoms. About 90% of all women go through OMS.

PMS Definition and Symptoms

PMS starts about a week before and a few days during the woman's menstrual period. There are some uncomfortable complaints accompanied by PMS. The cause of this is believed to be the fluctuation of hormones or the low serotonin levels. This can lead to aggressive behavior, mood swings, anger, and irritability. Apart from these, there are some other symptoms like anxiety, appetite and sleep problems, and depression. Hormonal changes can lead to headaches, migraines, weight gain, sore breasts bloating, and backache. There are about 100 symptoms associated with PMS which can differ from one woman to another.

Pregnancy Signs and Symptoms

The most common sign of pregnancy is missing one or more periods in a row. There can be some other reason for this, but if you miss more than one, and take a pregnancy test. If you are not pregnant, you need to talk to your doctor regarding any other problem that might be going on.

Another common pregnancy symptom is morning sickness accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Apart from this, there can be other symptoms like fatigue, headaches, and mood swings that can occur during the early stages of pregnancy. Food aversions and cravings are also reported during pregnancy. Some women experience aversions to certain smells. The women have to go through increased urination as well.
