There is a direct connection between nosebleeds and nasal congestion during pregnancy. The increased amount of blood in the nasal capillaries can cause congestion. As there is an increase in the stuffiness, you try harder to blow your nose trying to get some relief. This can lead to irritation in the surface capillaries resulting in a nosebleed.
Almost every pregnant woman will go through nosebleeds and/or nasal congestion during her pregnancy at least once. A medical professional might be required if there is a severe nosebleed and it isn’t clotting on its own. Bleeding and stuffiness will remain consistent throughout the pregnancy and can get worse at the end. However, there is no need to worry as when the baby is born, the hormone and blood volume levels will get back to normal and nosebleeds and nasal congestion will fade away.

Ask your doctor for some over-the-counter medications that can help you get rid of nasal congestion and mucus. Use a warm mist humidifier for keeping the nasal passages moist and preventing cracking and nosebleeds. Also, you should not use a humidifier all the time and should never use a cold mist.
