  • Dizziness, incoherent speech, loss of movability
  • Numbness, weakness, paralysis and stiff neck
  • High blood pressure and high fever, more than 102 F to 104 F (39 C to 40 C)

Thunderclap headaches are sudden, unexpected and very severe. The pain escalates to unbearable amounts in a matter of minutes and can take up over an hour or so to subside. Some bouts of headaches can last for days even. These issues are uncommon, however, if you are suffering from them don’t let them pass off lightly. it can be a sign of something even more serious

This is because, before the pregnancy, the female body doesn’t have as many hormonal and physical changes to cope with. This added stress can lead to some positive and even negative reactions that can cause painful headaches. Headaches can also be a result of dietary restrictions that you have to conform to during pregnancy. Also, cut down on caffeine and alcohol and smoking is another major reason

The intensity and severity of the headache vary from woman to woman. Some women have also reported having migraines, while others have complained of only light and mild headaches. Severe headaches and thunderclap headaches are the worst of all and require immediate medical attention.

Usually, self-medication and store drugs are not recommended for pregnant women as it might cause some complications for the baby. Stress, tension headaches and other forms of pain might start from the temples and soon spread over to the other parts of the head as well. A warm compress, plenty of rest and some sleep can help you get rid of the pain and feel fresh again.
